If you wash your hands of someone or something means you are totally finished with them, you will never do anything for them again, you will never talk to them again. You don’t want to deal with them at all. You refuse to be involved with them anymore or to take responsibility for them

EX1: You are tired of English, you’re sick of English, and you never want to study English again. So you can say:

-I wash my hands of English

EX2: You have a friend who borrowed money from you but he refused to return it. You want to break your relationship, not talk to him anymore, not see him anymore:

– I want to wash my hands of him.

So I’m considering which quote I will carve on my tombstone after I died, I see around in the cemetery many tombstones. I went to the funeral of a vampire and try not to swallow any ghost into my mouth because I heard over that if you do that you will become an immortal person
